The Treasure House is in business to create an awareness for people everywhere that there is a God who loves them, that He has provided a Savior through the Person of Jesus Christ, and to help people grow in their faith in Christ, through the provision of Christian books and supplies at the fairest possible price, through excellent service provided by professional, friendly, and caring staff.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS
Hope Fitzgibbon (1946-2009) founded the Treasure House Christian Bookstore, with her husband Bob, in 1977. She left a career in nursing to open the Treasure House, choosing an uncertain financial future to do so. Under her leadership the business grew from a small store on Botsford Street in Newmarket to two larger locations in Newmarket and Barrie.
She was a beautiful woman known for her wisdom, gentleness, open disposition, brilliant creativity, quick wit, delightful sense of humour and an authentic love, care and compassion to all. Her vibrant and attractive character was shaped by her great faith in and love for her Savior Jesus. She resolved to love Him from her youth and her unwavering confidence in Him and His boundless love shone forth to everyone she met. Hope is missed by her family and large circle of close friends and by the many customers who knew and loved her.

The Treasure House Christian Bookstore is a highly regarded
Christian book, gift and music retail business with two locations to serve you -- Newmarket and Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
The stores provide a wide range of Christian books and products ranging from adult and children's books, Bibles, contemporary and traditional music, communion gifts, jewelry, gifts for all occasions, stationery, Church supplies, wedding invitations, Choir gowns and clergy vestments, pictures, plaques and DVDs.
Its diversity is part of its strength as it ministers to the whole of the Christian church, while expanding beyond the Christian community by
offering gift items, to welcome every member of the community to consider what their local Christian bookstore has to offer.
The Treasure House opened in 1977 in Newmarket, Ontario. In, 1985 the company then expanded to open the Barrie location. For well over 30 years The Treasure House has served our customers with care and concern for their needs and preferences.
We seek to offer a warm, restful and service-oriented environment. When customers visit the store, many comment on the overall pleasant experience of being there. We are known for our special orders of both popular and hard-to-find items and for quick turn-around of those orders.
The Treasure House Christian Bookstore Newmarket was honoured to receive the Christian Bookseller's Store of the Year Award for the Central and Eastern Region of Canada in 2004. We have been nominated twice for a Business Excellence Award by the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce.
